These are Foodee's restaurant terms, and we stand by them. They're written in plain language on purpose. We'll have them reviewed by a South African attorney before Foodee opens to the public — if that review changes anything material, your account will get notice at least 30 days before it takes effect.

The short version.

These additional terms apply when you sign up as a restaurant on Foodee. They cover what you can post, what we do with what you post, how we work together, and what happens if things go wrong.

They're in addition to (not instead of) the main terms of service.

1Who can be a restaurant on Foodee

These terms apply between Appify (Pty) Ltd, trading as Foodee, of 7 San Sabastian Road, Ballito, 4420, South Africa, and your restaurant. They are in addition to Foodee's main Terms of Service, not instead of them.

You can have a restaurant account on Foodee if you're a real restaurant operating in South Africa, you have the authority to act for that restaurant, and you agree to these terms.

During Foodee's beta period, we sign up restaurants by hand — we'll meet you in person, set up your account, and make sure it works before your restaurant goes live. If you're not on the beta, you'll be on the waiting list until public launch.

2Your content

The specials, descriptions, photos, and other content you post on Foodee stay yours. By posting them, you give us permission to:

You can remove your content at any time. When you do, we remove it from Foodee within a reasonable time, but we may keep backup copies for up to 90 days for operational reasons.

3What you commit to

When you post on Foodee, you confirm:

If a special isn't going to happen for some reason, take it down promptly.

4What you can't post

You won't use Foodee to post:

We may remove content that violates these rules, and in serious or repeated cases we may suspend or close your restaurant account.

5Foodee's role

We display your content honestly. We don't:

If we ever change any of this (we don't intend to), we'd tell you well in advance.

6Fees during beta

During Foodee's beta period, restaurants pay nothing to list. There is no commission, no per-special fee, no subscription. We may introduce optional paid features for restaurants in the future — if we do, your access to the core free features won't be reduced, and we'll give you advance notice before any pricing changes.

7Account management

Your restaurant account is associated with your phone number (which is also your WhatsApp number, since we send sign-in codes via WhatsApp). The person who signs up has full authority to manage the account. If responsibility for your restaurant changes (new owner, new manager), or your phone number changes, email or message us so we can transfer or update the account properly — we'll verify in person where possible.

8Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if:

You can close your account at any time by emailing us.

9Disputes with diners

If a diner complains about your restaurant via Foodee, we'll let you know what they said. We try to facilitate fair resolution but aren't a tribunal — disputes are between you and the diner. If a pattern of complaints suggests a real problem, we may pause your account while we investigate.

10Liability

To the extent allowed by SA law, our liability to you for anything related to Foodee is limited to the fees you've paid us (during beta, R0).

This doesn't limit liability for things SA law doesn't allow us to limit.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by South African law and follow the same jurisdiction provisions as the main Terms of Service.
